We first met Molly in February of 2014. She was 3 months old and in a now-defunct dog rescue. She quickly captured our hearts (look at that face, still gives me all the good squishy feels that a being who loves you unconditionally brings up!).
Adopting a border collie mix, we got lots of advice. Give her a job, or she'll give you one. She won't be happy until she has something to herd.
I should've listened, but never in my wildest dreams did I think that she'd appoint herself my guardian/manager/shadow. But 7 years later, she is my sidekick and companion in all things (unless there is (real or perceived) peril approaching the house, because she is a fierce defender of her pack!).
Of all the jobs she's given herself (and there are several), inspecting and testing out all new quilts is one of her favorite. She's usually in my sewing room with me, and if she's not sleeping on an active project, she's curled up in the chair or underfoot at the pressing station.
Throughout my blog, you'll occasionally see a photo of Molly on top of a quilt -- whether she is standing, sleeping, or doing the downward dog, she is claiming them all... for France!
Thanks for stopping by!
