From the Archives: a HST Table Topper

Updated: Jul 23, 2022

I am a fan, a huge fan, of Minnesota's state flower, the Showy Ladyslipper! It was one of the things on my photography "bucket list" and I just can't seem to help myself whenever see her depicted in quilting fabric.

I purchased some of the statewide hop fabric back in 2017 or 2018 from Gruber's quilt store in Saint Cloud, and tried my hand at some half square triangles and an octagon table topper.

While I have since become much better versed in HST sewing and all the different ways to get them to turn out, this was one of the first projects I undertook that was primarily based in HSTs.

I love the theme, the colors, and the simple design of this topper, which sits atop my nightstand, and brings me joy every morning and evening.

Thanks for stopping by!
